Chaney Hill is an English, Ph.D. candidate at Rice University in Houston, Texas. She shares her home with one cat, three dogs, a fish, and her long-time partner. Outside of caring for her multi-species family, Chaney enjoys taking trips to the Texas Hill Country, writing, and eating elote from the neighborhood food truck. Her research interests include American literature of the South and the West, Critical Regionalism, Public Memory Studies, and Critical Texas Studies.
