Margaret Hutton is the author of the novel If You Leave (Regal House Publishing, 2025). Her short fiction has appeared in such journals as The Sun and The South Carolina Review, and her essays can be found in The Rumpus and Memoir Land. Her Substack, The Writer’s Gaze, launches in July 2026. A native North Carolinian and former environmental reporter, she now divides her time between the Washington, DC, area and her art studio in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
